8.0 -current development

Thes means that those running the latest-and-greatest [via a sufficiently new snapshot or built from source] no longer need to use "-D snap" with pkg_add(1) (and pkg_info(1)).

Are there any issues involved in using the "-D snap" parameter all the time, even with production versions?

I am asking because I want to know how to change my pkg-oriented script files.

    thx.

As long as you are, and intend to carry on, running -current, then no - you can add -Dsnap to all occurrences of pkg_add(1) and pkg_info(1) in your scripts.
