European pre-orders for 4.4 are open!

Contributed by johan on from the because-EU-needs-love-too dept.

A recent commit by Theo de Raadt (deraadt@) reveals that the European store is now open for OpenBSD 4.4 pre-orders.

In order to make the project able to hold conferences such as the annual Hackathons and other events please help support it.

If you haven't already, or you've been waiting to place your EU order, now is the time!

subscribing to source-changes@ is a very efficient method, really.

It's missing from the form, as is XS, but 5XL and XS will be produced once again of course.

The form will be updated, if you can't wait, put it in additional comments and I'll make sure you get the right size

Is there an explanation for that :

OpenBSD 4.4 CD Price: CDN $50.00
OpenBSD 4.4 CD Price: EUR 50.00

    but 50$CDN == 33.1319 EUR ....

    And 16,8726 EUR = 25,4634 CAD

does this difference goes to OpenBSD ???

        That's just lame.

To everyone else, you can enable/disable tinyurl preview at http://tinyurl.com/preview.php.

You are not counting VAT (21%) and shipping from Canada to Europe + the local shipping within Europe that is EUR 4 something

But you are free to order from wherever, even Switzerland if you want and enjoy the fluctuating currency exchange

Perhaps original currency rates were fixed at some point
and will stay there forever ;-)

I think your job deserves gratitude but it's obvious
        - Europeans pay more - to you. And yes, I do include
        all additional expenses.

        But, well, nevermind.
        Nobody *has* to do it.
