Alright more IPMI news. We are doing pretty good on well and moderately well behaving boxes that have IPMI. The thing I am still trying to resolve is getting some false positives resolved. For some reason there are some boxes out there that seem to have IPMI however when you start poking the registers nothing happens. For example check this box out:

ipmi at mainbus0 not configured
This box is like what, 10 years old? It still even has the f00f bug for crying out loud!

So to weed these out please send me a note if you see this message on a box:
ipmi at mainbus0 not configured

Just updated my net4801 and saw it (which might be easier to reproduce than the old Intel box I already mailed about!)...
