So how good does it work? Is it pretty stable, or still very unreliable?

I also read somewhere that pcmcia/cardbus isn't there yet. Would that be hard to add?

USB mice no longer seem to work. Other than that, so far so good.

That's great, but what about Firewire? Has there been any progress on Firewire support? My OBSD platform is MacPPC, so firewire would be much more benificial.

Does anyone know if a specific hold up, something like technical docs? Or is it just a manpower issue?

They're waiting for NetBSD to write the code first.

if you take a look at netbsd, you'll notice the code has been written already, though i have no idea how well it works. if you take a look at the openbsd ieee1394 code, you'll see some comes from netbsd and quite a bit was written by tdeval@. maybe if you want firewire support you should go download netbsd and write it for them?

somebody needs to finish it up. so it's a manpower shortage.

      Hi,

It's not a promise (you know, priority is work, and I've plenty of it),
but I intend to give a big shot at it again this summer.

I miss Bluetooth support too :-(

This is fantastic news. All but one of my systems (x86 and Sparc64) run OpenBSD, and that last one is a Linux box purely for being able to use my external USB2 HDD and digital camera!

As soon as the code gets into the next release (3.6 maybe?), I'll throw the final switch! =)

    CHEERS!

Sad, that OpenBSD doesn't support DVB tvcards with VDR and ISDN Capi with passive cards, so I could switch completely at home because USB 2.0 works

As for ISDN, MirOS (mirbsd.de) does this... and it started as an OpenBSD patchkit so it's still pretty close.
