Contributed by jose on from the getting-started-with-ports dept.

Nicolás Baldi wrote an intro to the OpenBSD ports system for DaemonNews:

http://ezine.daemonnews.org/200312/ports.html

This is the first of several articles he's writing about the ports tree.

    Don't use sudo make !!!
    Don't use sudo make !!!

    The whole ports tree uses the SUDO variable.
    If you want to use sudo, set it in your
    /etc/mk.conf like this:
    SUDO=sudo

      You are totally right Marc. I also had it as a comment on the CVS for the article. On my defense I can say that I wrote the article in 1hr and I didn't have time to check it. Finals' week is comming. :-(
      I will try to do a better job for the next article.

      Thanks for the feedback,
      Nico.
