Nmap 2.5 Released

Contributed by Dengue on from the who's-under-there? dept.

Fyodor has released Nmap 2.5 . As many of you know, Nmap is probably the finest network scanning tool available for *NIX boxen. Version 2.3b18 is available in the Ports tree.

I cannot count the number of times judicious use of Nmap to audit firewall rulesets has saved me potential embarrasement. Nmap is essential in every security minded administrators toolkit, and just keeps getting better with every release. I understand that Fyodor does much of his development on OpenBSD as well.
