OpenBSD 6.0 to be released September 1, 2016

    Hence the question:

    Why the early release date? Any special reason?

    (Not that I am complaining mind you...)

      5.9 was early too.
      And when will these releases EOLed?
      Day of the release + 365 days?
      So 2017.03.29 and 2017.09.01?

        I think the way it works is the most recent release plus the one before is supported, so 5.9 will be supported until is no longer the most recent but one release. That means that 5.9 will be EOL the moment 6.2 is released.

          I think that you probably meant that 5.9 will be supported until 6.1 is released
