Contributed by tbert on from the still-waiting-for-the-movie dept.

Several correspondents wrote in to alert us to the fact that a new, improved OpenBSD book is soon to be released:

No Starch Press is now accepting pre-orders for Absolute OpenBSD 2nd edition by Michael W. Lucas. A discount is available if you use the promo code from Michael's Blog.

The book is listed with an April 2013 release date, and it will be up to date with the upcoming OpenBSD 5.3 release.

Much obliged for the mention, folks. But you don't have to go all the way through my Web site to get the buy links.

If you use coupon code ILUVMICHAEL at http://www.nostarch.com/obenbsd2e, you get 40% off and free shipping. And I make a couple extra bucks, which is nice.

This code gave me only a 30% discount and did not affect shipping. Is this a result of my wanting to ship to Canada?

No, this is result of not LUVing Michael enough.

No, it's the result of me being a) an airhead, and b) overly US-centric. My apologies.

It's 30%, not 40%. And shipping outside the US is more expensive.
